I'm curious about a rough estimate of the cost to enclose a timber frame cabin using SIPS. I'm looking to build a small timber frame cabin (16x24). I have an idea what the wood will cost, but have no clue how to estimate the cost for the panels. The cabin will be in northern Wisconsin, so the higher the R-vaule the better. Any ideas?

Ron:

I use these values for a rough estimate:

$4.50/ sq ft for walls (6" panel, ~R24)
$5.00/ sq ft for roof (10" panel, ~R40)

That's for the whole pre-cut package, including fasteners, foam, etc. Does not include delivery or installation. CB.
