Hello everyone,
I was approached by a sawmill in Alberta that would like to explore opportunity of manufacturing timbers and planks using their beautiful white spruce for timber framing and machine profiled log homes.
I would like to ask you if there would be a demand for kiln dried white spruce timbers for timber framing?
If so, what would be the most common dimensions and lengths?
How about wide plank spruce and/or pine T&G flooring or panelling?
Would there be a demand, and what would be the appropriate width and thickness of the planks?
Should the flooring be "raw" or already pre-finished?
I know that spruce is used readily in Europe for both frames and flooring but I am not sure what is the situation here.
Any input would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Dalibor
