The TimberCAD menu loads and if I select Curved Brace and then select say Brace3 I get an "unknown command" message in the command bar for all curved braces.

Curved Braces routine simply inserts a block from the "User" directory that follows the naming convention for braces. See page 11 of the manual, note that your user directory name will be different than what is in the manual. Refer back to your installation to see where you installed TimberCAD.
