Well, I'm on the 1st day of my x-mas break; don't go back to work now till the 2nd of Jan. (YAY!)
Now I can finally get around to buying gifts...! And finding a tree!
I have my dinner on the 24th, and we open prezzies that evening; We've westernized a bit by having stockings in the morning of the 25th, though...
How do you celebrate the holidays?

I'm not sure it's Jim but he definately looks like a Timber Framer to me. Here's hoping your drive (and my holiday weekend) is uneventful.

I just got talked into 5 more hours at the hospital on Christmas day so I'm now working 3-11pm Sat. & Sun. plus 7:30am-6:30pm Monday... Monday Night I'll be playing the part of the Christmas Zombie.

Edit: Guess my fingers were getting ahead of my brain while typing ... Santa Claus isn't in a bathtub, it looks more like a lake!!! Oh well, I wasn't looking at Santa in that picture anyway.

save time and money buying pressies, just run the offcuts throught the hundegger and make 'em. i'm sure you can get lincoln logs, building blocks, maybe even lego.

one of the best presents i "made" was a shoe box full of 1X1 vg fir blocks in semi random lengths. they looked surprisingly like railing spindle offcuts.
of course now my boys want hammers, nails, tool boxes and a cat's paw. unlike the toy manufacturers, tool makers don't put a 6+ label on their products. i just can't see a cat's paw being used for its intended purpose around my house.

Hmmm...Good idea.
But all of my offcuts turn into fire wood for us employees....
Got some good wedges for test fitting off the thing, though.
