I am wondering what you all think about putting up some studs and nailers on the post inbetween the bents and then some woods bats and did plaster? Will this method work for the exterior as well or do you need to sheath it? Isn't the frame as a stand alone have shear strength? They show the old buildings in Europe with plaster on the out side and exposed timbers, no sheathing there right?

Better check on 'wattle and daub' as an infill material.

Are you from Petrolia, Ontario (near Sarnia?)
