I have discovered the texture position command to change the direction of wood grain in a drawing. The problem is that when I open a component and then select the face and right mouse click sometimes the command is there as an option and sometimes it is not. I can not for the life of me understand why it works sometimes but not others. I have tried orient face or reverse face but the command seems to show up when it wants to.

I think this happens when you apply a texture to a whole component, rather than to a single face inside the component.

You may also want to check out another plugin, called Texture Helper.

This plugin will rotate the texture in a single click. Again, it will only work on textures that are added to a face, not to a whole component. CB.

It looks like if I rotate the texture before it is a component then once it is converted to a component the texture can be rotated at will. Strange

Or apply the textures to individual faces inside the component after it's been created.
