I have a small timber frame screened in porch addition (16x20) 2 story that I am adding to my house. My local building inspector indicates that I need to have a Engineering stamp on my plans to complete framing inspection. The frame has not been cut or erected yet. I have a Google SketchUp file of the frame with joinery , dimension details. I also have have detailed pictures of similar frames that have been constructed in the past. I am looking for an certified engineer in NC that can provide this service for a reasonable price. It seems to be a pretty simple frame using proven design.

Any Suggestions ... Thanks Jeff L - Denver NC

Try David Hourdequin out of Hayesville, NC. 828-389-1717 He is a Guild member, and on the advisory board for the Timber Frame Engineering Committee.

He's great to work with and can work from sketchup files.

Thanks Gabel ... I actually spoke to David. He seems extremely qualified. I think we found someone local.
