I was wondering what engineering software every body uses? and if anybody has a good free version that includes red oak, and white pine.(Maple and locust would be nice to)

by engineering software I am talking about sizing beams, columns, Connections. while taking into account building code loads and factor's of safty
I am looking for a free program that can do it all obviously.

I really like the free software by forte but you really can't use it for timber framing because it was designed to sell engineered lumber and big lumber companies don't make money selling 10"x10" RO

the program woodwork by cwc probably would do what I want but it cost $895(Canadian)
