Timber Framers Guild Forums General General Forum Questions Best Books?

Hello!
Very new to Timberframing, want a very in depth all inclusive book that tells the details of the art. Basically all questions stop here type.
I need to know in particular, types of wood, joinery, designs, with good pics and easy to understand! Just want to build a nice small barn, but need to know entire process from felling trees to actually hewing and cutting joints, all with hand tools please!!! No power tools for this guy.

Timber Framing Fundamentals, the new book from the Guild, is good.

Jack's books would be another obvious choice.

I've got the "timber frame joinery and design workbook" and have found that it doesn't have everything I need to do the engineering.

What else do I need. The book "timber framing fundementals" from looking at the contents seems to duplicate a lot of the info in the workbook. Is there enough extra info to justify buying it as well as the masters book and the second work book?
