Hi everybody I already posted this in a topic looking for input, I got a response to help me with my paper which has been very helpful, that being said the more responses I get the more accurate and more informative my paper will be. I am currently a senior in high school, and my senior project is on timber framing. It is a paper/presentation type project, my topic is "Why timber framing over a conventional stick built structure?" i would love it if people would respond to this, telling me why they love timber framing, and why they choose to do it over conventional building?
Please do not limit responses to that one question, please feel free to elaborate on anything you would like.

Thank you so much.

This topic have been covered in great detail in a number of related threads. Here is a possible thread that is somewhat related. If you poke around on the forum you may find some good material to use.

Here is another thread, you won't fine this kind of discussion on a stud built forum. You may glean some tidbits from this.
