Hi,

I just heard that the NDS horizontal shear values quoted in the old TFG Design Handbook have been revised upward nearly doubling the allowable values.

Could some of the Guild heavyweight timber frame designers and engineers please comment on this and I would appreciate if anyone could explain why this has happened.

Regards
