I don't intend to use dry timber and green timber...I was concerned about the need to "Season" the timber before cutting the Joinery.

As for grading...YES...I intend to grade the timber. I am also attending Steve Chappell's school (Fox Maple) this next Monday for a seminar on design. (wish I could afford the time off to attend the whole 2 weeks! i.e. Design, intro and advanced timberframing) Oh well...do what you can and ask lots of questions. laugh
