Hello. I'm constructing a frame of dead standing lodgepole pine and am interested in what kind of experience others have had using different types of oak pegs in softwood. Basically, I'm curious to know if a 1" tapered peg(1/64 over to 1/64 under) is easier to drive and holds better than a straight oversized peg(1/64 over)? Any input is welcome. thanks.
