What substance does one put on freshly cut joints to help prevent warping and splitting? I used it last year in my apprenticeship, but the name escapes me.

Anchorseal, is waxy product that prevents splitting and checking and will also serve as a lube in assembly of TF joints. I'm not sure if the is the same stuff you heard about. I also use it for freshly cut lumber (logs /boards) to prevent end checking. It sholud be applied to these as soon as the logs are bucked.
