Hello all TF friends. I am moving to Big Island Hawaii this summer and want to build a TF Barn and home. I am looking for info regarding local wood type usage for a T Frame. They have much of Eucalyptus robusta
Eucalyptus saligna
Eucalyptus grandis, some Silvery Oak & Norfolk Pine, Ohia and a few others. I found a good resource on Hawaii forest wood products, but would love anyone's experience or opinions on this.

We are at 1700' elevation, 75in rain annually, strong winds at times. Good stable soil. Meditereanean climate, 65-80 degree average temps
