I wonder: why are Bailey's (logging supplier) corner chisel and slick so affordable? The corner chisel is only about $20 and the slick about $30. Granted, they require handle assembly and final honing, but I can't see how that would account for a lower price. I'm suspecting steel quality, and that may be the obvious factor to you seasoned vets out there, whether you have first-hand experience with them or not. Who makes them? Perhaps someone reading this does have first-hand experience with them. Any response humbly appreciated.

The catalog recommends using a file for sharpening. I have been able to sharpen some corner chisels with a file but some are too hard to do that. So, I expect that the steel is on the softer side.
