Those through tenons on that header in the floor frame look pretty neat... is that a single peg coming down through that double tenon? Must be... watch your head on the points!
Hey Don, The damaged rafter and purlin, as well as the 3rd and 4th picture are from First Scots Church here in Charleston. Built 1812. The dark picture and ropes are from St. Michael's built in the 1750's. The dark picture is above the sanctuary (talk about some big trusses). I also have pictures of the journey all the way up the steeple that I can post if there is interest.
