Any one out there from the Roaring Fork Valley? My wife and I just got back from a stint living and working in Japan and she got a teaching job in Carbondale. I am curious what the market is looking like out there. I would like to start doing japanese inspired carpentry (timber framing, shoji, ten-jo ceiling treatments, woodworking...) But to get my foot in the door I am hoping to work for myself doing timber framing or solid surface countertops or just basic carpentry. If any of you are from the area I would love to chat and get a feel of what I am getting myself into. I appreciate your time.
