We use Timberlinx A475 to anchor all our 4-sided exposed posts. They result in a hidden connection (other than a 1" plugged hole) and are pretty economical compared to a custom knife plate connection - about $35 per connection. I like the fact that we get to drill and epoxy them so we're not relying on the 'accuracy' of anchor placement by the concrete contractor.
