I have a friend who wants a barn built this summer. We were discussing the possibilities of running a workshop to help offset the costs-- and because I would like to combine building and education in a meaningful way. This would likely be a one-time thing, at least for the moment. I am definitely not going to undertake more than a single workshop this year. I have yet to talk to an insurance agent. but I suspect that such an endeavor would defy categorization. In other words, I am unsure of how to go about getting liability insurance for such an endeavor.
For those of you who are running or have run workshops, what type of insurance do you have? Any idea what it costs to insure a single workshop?
I'm thinking 10 days and 10 people.
