If you don't have it, get it. You'll love it. Lots of good pictures of English style oak framing and a pretty darn good chapter on scribing.

I don't have it in front of me but the way he presents (with good illustrations)is pretty much the standard approach in the UK where direct glazing of timber frames is fairly common.
