Hey Don, that's not so outside the box for me. I lot of my hand tools are Japanese. I love the quality of my chisels. I am not sure I want to spend so much on my first adze. I find the Japanese adzes to be pricey. I would like to try me hand at it first before I drop alot of money on a tool. I am curious,do you know if the adzes are laminated steel like the Japanese chisels and plane irons? If so I can see why they would be great quality tools!
