We've got a project where we are incorporating some peeled cedar logs (posts) with some timberwork. We need to cut housings and end cut the logs. The logs have heavy flared butts. I'm looking for tips (maybe a reference article) on how to layout and cut this type joinery. I'm sure there are some great workshops/courses available on this but unfortunately we don't have that opportunity for our time frame. Thanks.
