thanks and yes, the house is passive solar and the entire cruck prow wall you see in the foreground is getting direct glazed with solar heat gain tuned/Heat Mirror IGU's...really funky glass that should work nicely with the thermal wall smile
We also have a woodstove in the same room, which I'm hoping will only be used on those -40deg C days we get once or twice a year.. lol
