Yes, I agree that the T&G looks best running opposite the common framing members. This was a case of the homeowner finishing the frame himself, and me assuming that he would do it the way I would :rolleyes: (hasn't happened since, of course
).
There were no structural issues, as the roof is made of SIPs. The paneling is only 1x6. CB.
