We've been toiling away at our logs, and tomorrow we dig out our footer. Then the construction phase will begin. At that point, I will be doing more building while my two brothers continue hewing the logs. Sometimes you run into a snag. Today one of my axe handles wore out, and I had to make a new one. Went out into the woods and split a blank out of some hickory that is good and dry by now, and carved out a new handle using only an axe. And on a side note, today we got our vat that we will make our cheese in!
