Wow! So cool Don! Thanks for the pix. My wife and I are looking to produce some of our own oil as well. How much space do you have dedicated to Flax seed crop and how much oil do you get? Canola grows well here, but doesn't have the health benefits...
Back to topic. Yes, I understand that heating the oil to 400-500 degrees w/o oxygen will polymerize the oil and create a better finishing oil for the wood (as well, heating WITH oxygen will oxidize and also produce a cool product). However, it is hard to find true "boiled" oil over the counter...so thinking of doing it myself.
