There are several ways to find sawyers in your area.
As mentioned one way is to go to forestryforum.com and select the "find-a-database" option in the upper right hand corner.
And fill out that form.
Next to select the type of service you want, which maybe "band mill portable."
Then "USA" for our country, and "VT" for your state.
Also select "yes" for custom saw, and then hit search.
You'll get a list of portable sawmills near you.
If you strike out, then the next thing you could do is to call the sawmill company and use their "find a sawyer" option. Go to
www.woodmizer.com and get their 800 phone number. Call them and when the computer answers select "find a sawyer" and you should get a person to talk to. Then tell them your zip code and they should be able to tell you all the sawyers who have listed their sawmill service with them for your area. Then you'll have to call them and talk it over with them about how much it would
cost to have your logs milled up.
The next option would be to go to
www.woodweb.com and use their system or search their list of companies and see if you can find a sawmill near you.
You may get email addresses or phone numbers from this system.
The last thing would be to woodfinder.com and see if there is someone listed there.
