Hylandwoodcraft Member H Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 143 Western NY	One idea that I have had for this is to relieve the bottom of the post 1 1/2", 45 degrees on the perimeter. You can then inset a 2x treated piece on to the bottom of the post and never see it.
