I'm looking for a 10 1/4" circular saw and was thinking about the Makita 5104 but ran into the Milwaukee 6740-21 today and found it to be over $100 cheaper. Has anyone used both saws and can comment on how they compare?
I have not used the Makita 10 1/4",but I have owned the Milwaulkee and used it heavily for about 2 years. I have found it to be a good saw, good accuracy and power. I'm talking about the new version of course, the older version is utter garbage!
