Timber Framers Guild Forums General This Old Building Available - 1832 post and beam Federal style house

I am the owner of the house known as the “Squire Frederick Hotchkiss” house located at 21 Main St., Windsor, NY.

The house is slated for demolition in the near future. However, I am prepared to offer the structure for salvage to any person or organization who is both interested and qualified to remove the building from the premises in a timely manner and who will salvage it for the purpose of re-use.

I have actually been by that house on our way to one of our shops near Albany...What great structure...

At minimum I would like to follow along with the outcome, and if we can muster it...find a home for such a handsome example of the region's vernacular period home...It is a shame this country does not do a better job of protecting such "historical treasures." I am sure many here will..."put the word out"...for your efforts.
