I am looking in a text book written in 1898 and they give the weight per cu inch of White pine as .0144 per cu inch, and the specific gravity as .400
They go further to say that to find the weight of a cubic foot of any solid or liquid, multiply its specific gravity by 62.425
Calculations work out to 24.97, or pretty close to 25 lbs cu ft.
