After a hiatus of 7 years, The UK Carpenters Fellowship will hold a FRAME event between Thu 22nd and Mon 26th August 2024 at The Chilterns Open Air Museum, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, England.
The Oxfordshire Woodland Group has advised that TFG members and their family & friends attending FRAME 2024 will also be welcome to visit the woodland cruck barn cut and raised by OWG in 2017. The woodland cruck barn is located towards the western end of The Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the neighbouring county of South Oxfordshire.
This is an opportunity to meet with the cruck builders and inspect their all hand hewn 2 bay cruck timber-framed barn that is conveniently located within walking distance of 3 other historic cruck timber-framed buildings all dating from late 1300 to mid 1400. The number of persons able to visit the historic buildings will of necessity need to be limited.
