• August 19-24, 2024 (12’x16’ cabin frame with floor system and customizable features, available for purchase)
• November 11-16, 2024 (Frame details to be determined)
Instructors: Jim Rogers and Dan Flinn, seasoned experts in traditional and production timber framing.
What You'll Learn:
• Interpreting a set of plans
• Square-rule framing for layout of joinery
• Cutting tenons, mortises, and braces by hand and using power tools
• Rafter cutting and pocket techniques
• Fit-up testing of each joint and raising a bent
Additional Information:
• Timber framing tools available for purchase on-site.
• Discussions on sharpening and milling practices, with demonstrations if that is where the workshop leads us.
