I have a 200 yr/old colonial that my family and I have been in for nearly 6 years. I have just discovered that my front sill needs to be replaced. the house is 40ft long. I have purchased alot of timberframe books because of another project I want to do (I know enough to be dangerous). They are great for building a new structure but do not give any advise on restoration. I have researched what sill joints I will use but I do not know where/how to jack the front of the house to get this job done. Please Help, Kevin.
