I have just started looking into timber frame and log homes as a retirement home. Current plan is to have a home built around Flathead Lake in MT and I'm interested in learning the pros and cons of both timber frame and log. Have recently read "The Timber Frame Home" by Tedd Benson and would like to find a similar type reference book for log homes, as well as hear from anyone who could provide some insight on this subject.
