I highly recommend "The timber framers workshop" by Steve Chappell and all 3 of Jack Sobons books out there. They are great. I re-read them all the time and find new details that I find very useful that I had not taken enough notice of the first time reading through them. I wish there was a book of a bunch of nice simple plans with complete joint details,etc... as there is not yet one to speak of. Hopefully these experts could get together and put this kind of timber frame plan catalog out there. tb
