I just bought a 100 year old home and want to put a water bed on the 2nd floor. How do I find out if the floor can support the bed?

You did not mention whether the framing system of the house is timber framed or stick built. In either case, you should have a structural engineer evaluate the existing framing in the area to be loaded with the water bed. You should be able to find a local engineer in the yellow pages.
