Dear Van,

I understand your frustration but sometimes its not easy to answer an engineering question. That doesn't mean that there arn't any experts.

Somewhere there is a reported expert behind this segment. Unfortunately, the last several weeks have been consumed with medical treatment of a family member. I'm trying to catch up now. Thank you for your patience.

This site is the ONLY resource many of us may have about timber framing (other than books). It may not be the most active post site, but I think that the people are just honest enough that they don't give just "any" answer to pacify the people who ask questions.

Keep up the good work guys!!!!

Van,

The WORLD is full of unaswered questions. I hope I'm not around when that's no longer true.

You should be thankful the folks who moderate this BB are willing to do it at all.

Thanx Grigg, for everthing you've done. Almost everyone is greatful.

Rudy
