The Northeastern Lumber Manufactures Association (NeLMA) hold grading courses several times a year, teaching how to grade eastern white pine lumber. I’ve taken two one-day courses and they do hold a three-day course also. I’m not sure if they can certify you, but you could contact them to find out about that. Their web page address is
