I have just recently completed a teaching tool that fully explains to the beginner the art of using the traditional broadaxe, and the adze. Covered also is a good discussion on their handle styles.

There is a guy in Contoocook NH, name of Dan Dustin, who has a pretty good video on hewing.

It's called "From Tree to Beam," and he has a website.

If anyone is interested here is some additional information concerning the DVD's on Hewing, and now I have one prepared for Taditional Adzing that also covers the handles, safe handling, and in both I use and explain my technique of standing and other technical information necessary for the student to get a grasp of their use. The technical information is gleaned from 30 years of experience in the field of Historic Restoration, and Reproduction, and demonstration to many ethnic and student groups.

For each set of (2) DVD's $75 US plus $8 US for postage and hanlding.

I will upon receipt of payment ship out the copies and notify the buyer of the shipment by Email.
