Hello all,
I'm looking for an old connecticut or jersey pattern axe head (handle optional). I'd prefer to find one that weighs 4 pounds or greater. They're not too common here on the west coast, perhaps someone on the other side of the country can help me out. Price to be paid commensurate with condition of axe. Thank you.

I have an old Collins. It is a little smaller then you are looking for. I weighted it and, with the handle, it weights 4 1/2 pounds. So I guess that the head is about 3 pounds. Handle was recently reset and is 29 1/2" long.

rlipeles,

Thanks for the response, but I'd really like to find a heavier one. Will keep you in mind if all else fails though.
