The National Association of Home Builders Television Production Group has recently been hired by the DIY (Do It Yourself) network to produce a 26 part television series exclusively featuring System Built Homes entitled “Prefabulous”. We are looking for a company that produces Post and Beam homes and a couple who have built a 100% Post and Beam home (not timberframe, even though I know they are very similar) and willing to share their experience and home on television.
The requirements for participation will be of no cost to your company; however we are looking for the following for each type of system home we feature:
1. We would prefer to focus our show on people who are at the design phase of purchasing their home (they need to have already committed to buying the home.) We will assess their suitability for tv. 2. Our cameras would follow them through the building phase of their home, filming the process as it takes place in the factory (if it is not the specific couple’s home being made that day, then a home similar to the one the couple picked out is acceptable.) 3. We would like to show the home being delivered on site and assembled. 4. We tour the final finished home and get reactions from the homeowners. 5. There is also an interim segment in the show which features a completed home of the same type system, but different design style. 6. Our goal is to show the audience the different variations of homes available in this particular genre and to educate our viewers about choices and benefits of a building system home.
It is important for the structure of the show that we are able to have access to the couple buying the home and the various builders/engineers who can talk about the project. We have already started production so time is of the essence, if you are interested please contact Amy a.s.a.p. at: 202.266.8297 or email: amack@nahb.com.

A timber frame house is constructed using "posts and beams" and the method used to hold them together is wooden joinery held in place with wooden pegs. A post and beam house is constructed using "posts and beams" but the method used to hold them together is steel plates and metal threw bolts, no wooden joinery or wooden pegs. Jim Rogers

Hooray Jim. You forgot the terms rusty and ugly vs rustfree and beautiful. Why anyone would not choose timberfram is a mystery to me.

Round work is known as log building.
