Looking for thoughts on cutting dead eastern white pine timber for post and beam frame. My thoughts are that it would be dry and very stable. Looking for other people's thoughts and experiences.

Thank you,

Allen

If the bark is on the trees, chances are that there are pine bugs boring into it. There is also the probability that it will be blue molded. To find out, strip the bark off of one and you should get your answer. Pine is quick to rot with the bark left on. If your lucky, this may not have happened. then it shouldn't be a problem to get someone to saw them in to timbers

Good Luck

Mark
