Is anybody aware of an existance of Japanese standard on traditional post and beam construction? Would it be available in English?

Thanks

I'm not aware of one. But that just means that I don't know. Char Cooper at Summerbeam Books (who handles book sales for this web site) may be able to find out for you.

Opps, I'm a new member to the guild and these forums.
Here's a text re you're earlier querry: "Measure and Construction of the Japanese House" Heino Engel, Tuttle Pub., ISBN:0-8048-1492-9. It's in English, but I picked mine up in Tokyo this summer.
