I am a radio reporter working on a story about Timber Framing in the Western States (i.e. SD, WY, MT, CO, etc.). I could use some facts about the numbers of TF homes going up in this area, the numbers of contractors in this area. Is there more interest here now than ever, or is it waning? Any facts or resources you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Joshua Welsh, South Dakota Public Radio.
(ps, you can check out an earlier version of the story I did on Timber Framing at sdpb.org)

Hi Joshua:
I think you should contact Will and/or Joel at the Guild offices for some materials and direction. If that should not get you what you want just get back to me.
Good Luck,
Curtis

I have talked with Joshua.
Many of the 'industry' questions he asks (number of housing starts, dollar volume, growth of timberframing, distribution of timber frames) are best asked of the folks at the Timber Frame Business Council, a trade association formed by but independent of the Guild.
