Our 2" auger bits are for boring machines only. The will not work in power drills. Sorry.

Jim, what is it specifically that knocks the boring machine bits out of use in an electric drill? I have used boring machine bits in an electric drill. The biggest issue I have seen is the chance of the bit slipping in the chuck, but not a big issue.

I've run them in my HoleHawg, and 18v cordless. I've wondered what would happen if the bit jambed in the Hawg. Hopefully just slip the chuck and not mangle the bit. The new 18v SuperHawg has a slip clutch in low gear...

Due to the fact that these bits are designed to turn at a very slow rpm we don't recommend using them in a power drill. The torque when the grab is huge and can twist the drill right out of your hands.
I will sell any bit to anyone but beware that this can happen and it won't be pretty when it does. Especially with a 2" bit.

Right, I agree. To clarify my use is with a drill in a jig.
This is a mock up test machine and only 1.5" bit. I have used a 2" in the newer version 2.o
