I just recently purchased an old farm that is almost 100 years old in Ryan, Iowa. I have 13 outbuildings, some of which need to be demolished or taken down. Included in the demo is a rather large barn (81x30) with peg construction and nice pine beams. The inside is in rather good shape as far as the timbers, and the siding isn't bad in most places, but the outside, roof, downstairs wood floor, etc. are in very poor shape. Too bad of shape to repair. I am looking for someone in my area, or willing to travel, and take this barn down. I also have digital photos inside and out, that I can email to anyone interested. I can be reached at doublehacres@iowatelecom.net

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Call Rick Collins at Trillium Dell Timberworks, Knoxville, IL. Don't know how far away that is.

Someone needs to put their eyes on your project. Be awful nice if you offered to pay for fuel and some of their time/expertise. Helps if you can send him a disk of digital photos or something for him to look at before a long day's drive. Depending upon your rush, he could combine with a circuit of visits.

Might be others closer - try the TFG directory.
