I am looking for reputuable, consciousous, respected, and reasonably-priced contractors for repair of a barn in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (near Ashland/Frackville/Gordon area - zip code 17921) that requires overhaul of new roof, some new beams, new flooring and new siding. will also be doing some foundation work and electrical/wiring. I have found some contractors in the Lancaster/Amish region and others in the lower Berks and Bucks Co. areas close to Philadelphia, but nothing nearby in the Central Southeast Portion of Pa. Any help, insight, suggestions, referrals, recommedations, etc. are appreciated. Tear down or salvage is not really an option due to family choice/preference. Thank you very much. Brian

Start with Dan Fadden. 215 - 219 - 8533. Don't know how close he is.

Note - none of us are reasonably priced, we're all charging too little for the awesome stuff we can do. Helps me to think in terms of "Fair Pricing". You are asking for someone that carries insurance, pays worker's comp, buys safety gear for his/her crew - all that takes cash. Your cheapest bid probably won't be doing all these things, keep asking questions. Your lowest overall cost may easily come from your highest bidder. Concentrate upon references and visiting other jobs, compare 2-3 quotes at most to make sure you are not getting hoodwinked and then go for it.

Thanks, Randy! I'll be vacationing in sunny Florida 1/25-1/31. Otherwise the line is open.
