Canadian Timber Sources - 09/13/07 09:03 PM
I am hoping someone in BC could help me find a good mill to get DF or Port Orford Cedar from. I am in Alaska and have a supplier for my projects but have a friend in Calgary who wants to build a pavilion and we are looking for a good timber source. The largest timber is 8x12x20'. I know there are a ton of mills in BC, I'd just like to find either a mill or broker that is reputable and good to deal with.
Thanks,
Tyson

There is a small mill located in Clearwater, BC called Two Guns Milling. It is run by two brothers Max and Peter Gunster. They primarily cut Doulas fir and have a good source for dead and dry logs (they do their own salvage logging). I have been happy with their product and service. Phone number is 250 676-9566.
